The Hume Lady Hornets saw their memorable postseason run come to an end in the Class 1 quarterfinals, falling to St. Elizabeth 58–28. Despite the loss, the Hornets close the season with an impressive 18–12 record and a playoff journey that will be remembered in Hume for years to come.

Hume’s path to the quarterfinals was already historic. In the sectional round, the Lady Hornets defeated Green Ridge 56–54 to advance, marking the program’s first trip to the quarterfinals in 36 years.

In the quarterfinal matchup, Hume faced a tough St. Elizabeth squad. The Hornets battled throughout the game, with Kenzee Snider leading Hume in scoring with 12 points (followed closely by Evie-Lyn Lewis with 10 points) but the run ultimately ended with the 58–28 defeat.

Even with the season-ending loss, the 2025–26 Lady Hornets will be remembered for a special year. An 18–12 record, a district championship, a sectional title, and the program’s first quarterfinal appearance in nearly four decades made this a season that etched its place in Hume basketball history.
