The Lady Whirlwinds continued their strong stretch of play Friday night, defeating Crest Ridge 52-16 to improve to 9-3 on the season. The win marked Archie’s ninth victory in its last ten games, a run in which the Whirlwinds have outscored opponents by an average of more than 20 points per game.
Friday’s game also served as a celebration for Lexi Andrews, who was recognized for reaching the 1,000-point milestone in her high school career. Andrews achieved the mark last week during an away contest and was honored following the Lady Whirlwinds’ dominant performance.
The boys followed in the nightcap but came up short against Crest Ridge. The loss drops the Whirlwinds to 7-4 on the season as they continue to work through a competitive stretch of their schedule.
Both Archie teams now turn their attention to the upcoming 95th Archie Tournament, where they will look to build on recent performances and carry momentum into one of the program’s most anticipated events of the season.
