Members of the Butler Youth Wrestling Club turned in strong performances at the 2026 Rookie State Tournament, held Jan. 17 in Springfield, showcasing their hard work and continued development on the mat.

Several Butler wrestlers earned podium finishes during the competition. Emmalee Nieder led the group with a second-place finish, followed by Mallary Ferrell, who placed third. Jaxon Best earned a fourth-place finish, while Savannah Roderick rounded out the results with a fifth-place showing.

The tournament provided valuable experience for Butler’s young wrestlers as they continue to learn and grow in the sport. Their efforts at the state level reflect the dedication of the athletes, coaches, and families involved in the program.
