In a Butler vs. Butler Little League showdown held recently, two young athletes made big impressions at the plate. Coabyn Nation and Brayden McGuire each hit massive home runs during a competitive 5th/6th grade game between local teams Butler 1 and Butler 2.
Butler 1 (black jerseys) came out on top, winning the game 8–6, but both sides played hard and displayed impressive sportsmanship throughout the evening.
Nation, wearing red for Butler 2, is the son of Craig and Nikki Nation, while McGuire, representing Butler 1, is the son of Cody and Julienne McGuire. Their powerful swings were the talk of the night and served as highlights in a game filled with energy and hustle.
Though the matchup took place about a week ago, it’s still being talked about in the local baseball community—not just for the big hits, but for the great attitudes and spirit shown on both sides of the field.
