Dillon Coonce, a versatile 6’6” center/forward from Rich Hill, Missouri, has officially signed his letter of intent to continue his basketball career at the collegiate level with Missouri Valley College.
Coonce brings an impressive resume to the Vikings roster. He wrapped up his senior campaign with multiple top honors, including District Player of the Year, Conference Player of the Year, and a First-Team All-Conference selection. His high-level performance has been consistent throughout his high school career—earning All-Conference and All-District honors during both his junior and sophomore campaigns as well.
During his final year at Rich Hill, Coonce averaged a double-double, scoring 17 points per game and pulling down nearly 11 rebounds. He shot an efficient 44% from the floor and made his presence felt on both ends of the court. On defense, he averaged 2.4 blocks and 1.7 steals per contest, establishing himself as a dominant force in the paint.
Missouri Valley College, located in Marshall, Missouri, finished 12-17 last season. The program will undoubtedly benefit from Coonce’s well-rounded skill set, size, and work ethic as they look to build momentum heading into next year.
Dillon Coonce is poised to make an immediate impact at the collegiate level, and the entire Rich Hill community will be cheering him on as he takes the next step in his basketball journey with the Vikings.
