Cole Ritter of Adrian has accomplished a level of success that many only dream of. Cole has claimed a NCAA DII Wrestling National Championship at 174lbs for the Maryville Saints (St. Louis). Ritter’s semifinal opponent was Lawson Losse, who had defeated Ritter earlier in the season, however Cole was able to breeze past Losee this time with a final of 10-6. Cole then went on to claim a 5-1 victory in the Championship matchup over Jacobi Deal of Nebraska-Kearney.

The ability to achieve high levels of success is nothing new to Ritter, and should not come as a surprise to any who had the privilege to witness Cole’s career as a Blackhawk. While at Adrian High School, Ritter was a 4x State qualifier, he went 40-0 during his Senior Campaign as he brought a State Title back to Adrian at 160lbs. Ritter’s accolades could fill volumes and now he adds NCAA DII National Champion to the list!

Congratulations to Cole Ritter!
