The Butler Bears 3rd Grade Basketball Team was looking to maintain their unblemished record in an attempt to secure a championship victory this past weekend.

In the Championship showdown the little Bears matched up against Rich Hill. In the opening period Butler jumped out to a quick 8-4 lead. The Second quarter would look much the same as the Bears would once again outscore the Tigers 8-4, moving the scoring total to 16-8 going into the break.

Out of the intermission, Butler dropped 12 in the 3rd, while limiting Rich Hill to only a single basket. Butler held a 28-10 lead as they headed into the fourth and final.

As the last whistle sounded, the Bears would remain perfect on the season, and emerge champions, with a final score of 30-14.

The Bears had an impressive 8 players record baskets in the game, led by Laikyn Golladay and Dyxon Reinke who each had 8 points, while Josh Urbanowitz pitched in 4 points.

The Final standings for the season say Butler in 1st, Rich Hill as the runner-ups, and Adrian with a 3rd place finish.
