On Friday night, the Butler Bears hosted the Warsaw Wildcats in an Ozark Highland Conference showdown. The Lady Bears came into the matchup 8-13, picking up wins in 3 of their last 4 games. The Lady Wildcats checked into the contest with a record of 13-10. Each of these teams are coming off of a loss to El Dorado Springs earlier in the week. 

Before the tip-off the girls game, the BHS court warming took place, and royalty was crowned. Braxton Delozior and Gabbie Carmichael were named the Prince and Princess of Butler High School for 2025, while Dillon Triebel and Brooke Miller received the honor of King and Queen. 

The Lady Bears were able to take down the Warsaw Wildcats with a final of 66-51. The Lady Bears have now won 4 of their last 5, and improve to 9-13 on the season. 

Butler was led by Kylee Dubray with 18 points, while Adyson Clover had 15. 

Tanna Howe led the Wildcats with 17pts. 

At the conclusion of the ladies contest, the men were ready for action. The Bears have had some highs and lows this season, and sat at 4-15 coming into the night. The Warsaw Wildcats have been having a decent team and touted a 13-9 record entering the game. 

The Bears put up a valiant fight, but ended up falling 61-45 to the Wildcats. 

Jake Chandler led all scoring on the night with a grand total of 24pts, while Jesse Carter contributed 10. 

Shane Poyser had 17 points for the Wildcats.
