On Monday Night, the Butler Lady Bears made the short trip down to Hume to take on the Lady Hornets. The Bears came into the game 7-12, looking for their third consecutive W. However, it wouldn’t be such an easy task for Butler, as the the Lady Hornets were in the midst of a 5 game win streak themselves, touting a 12-9 record of their own.

The game would be one of swings and runs, as the Bears would narrowly lead after the first quarter with a score of 16-14. The Bears lead would not last long, as the Lady Hornets would hold a 26-22 margin at the break. After the first 3 periods, Hume would continue to sit firmly in the drivers seat, taking a 38-31 point advantage into the 4th and final. The Lady Bears would show some heart, courageously and impressively battling back and claiming a 54-52 victory as the final buzzer sounded.

Bailegh Rogers for Hume led all scores with 23 points on the night, while Kenzee Snider had 13 for the Lady Hornets.

The Lady Bears were led by Georgia McCoun with 14 points, and Adyson Clover who need with 12 points.
