Butler made a late night trip to Stockton to face the Miller Lady Cardinals in the first round of the Stockton Tournament. Miller came into the 3 seed, touting a 9-5 record, while the Bears laid claim to the 6 seed with a 3-7 record.
The Bears fell down early, and an abundance of turnovers, and lackluster rebounding led to the Bears taking a 64-37 loss. The Bears will move on take on a 7-7 Lamar team on Thursday.
Leivan, for Miller, scored a game high 19 points to go along with her 7 steals. Nunez ended the night with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals.
For the Butler Bears, Dubray had 8 points with 12 rebounds, whole McCoun, Clover, and Cook each finished with 6 points.
