On Saturday (1.18) the Lady Bulldogs of Appleton City tipped off against the Osceola Lady Indians for the title of “Champions” at the Appleton City Baseball Tournament. The Indians (9-3) came into the tournament as the 3 seed, defeated Montrose in the first round 40-27 and then took down the 2 seed, Chilhowee 55-32. The Lady Bulldogs were the top seed in the tournament, and Miami 80-20 in the first round, and went on to knock out Hume to advance to the Championship.
At halftime of the Osceola v Appleton matchup, the Lady Indians held a 25-18 lead. By the final buzzer, Osceola were atop the Bulldogs, securing a double digit victory of 52-40.
For the Indians, Grace Colby scored 18 points, Bella Hamby ended with 12, and Taryn Wood pitched in 7.
