On Saturday (9.7) the Butler Bears Cross Country team trekked to Bolivar to participate in the Richard Clark Invitational. The Bears loaded up the bus, taking a total of 19 runners to this event!
Brandon Hammett took home 2nd place out of all class 2 runners at the meet, and was the 20th quickest time out of all 497 entries! The HS Team as a whole came in 8th.
Two of the Butler ladies were named amongst the top 10 most improved runners at the event. Natalee Kennedy shaved off 4:30:45 off her 2023 time, while Morgan Stump knocked 3:20:55 off her last year’s showing. These girls have been working hard and it is showing as their times are getting faster and faster!
On the JH side of things, Hayden Dickens was able to secure the gold for the Bears with a 1st place finish. The JH boys as a team finished 2nd.
Congratulations to all of the Bears XC team!
