Kaydence Enos collected three hits in three at bats, as Adrian Varsity Blackhawks defeated Stover 16-1 on Friday. Enos singled in the third inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

A single by Ava Hodges put the Lady Bulldogs on the board in the top of the first.

In the bottom of the second inning, Adrian went into the lead after Lilly Talley singled, and Chloe Nelson lined out, each scoring one run.

Adrian Blackhawks scored seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Enos singled, scoring one run, Olivia Hughes singled, scoring one run, Talley singled, scoring one run, Dani Bolling doubled, scoring one run, Nelson singled, scoring one run, and Lizzie Clifton singled, scoring two runs.

The Blackhawks scored seven runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Hughes singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Bolling singled, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored two runs, Emily McCammon doubled, scoring one run, and Harlee Newkirk singled, scoring one run.

Clifton earned the win for Adrian. The righty allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Brooklynn Gargione took the loss for Stover Lady Bulldogs. The starting pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, giving up 16 runs (13 earned) on 16 hits, striking out none and walking four.

Adrian Blackhawks collected 16 hits in the game. Clifton and Enos each collected three hits for Adrian. Clifton, Bolling, Talley, and Hughes each drove in two runs. Newkirk collected two hits in four at bats. Enos stole four bases. Adrian stole five bases in the game.

Hodges and Gabby Sidebottom each collected one hit for Stover Lady Bulldogs Softball. Hodges went 1-for-1 at the plate as the infielder led the team with one run batted in.

The Blackhawks will be back in action Tuesday in the second round of District.
