For round two of their district tournament, the Rich Hill Tigers (21-4) were slated to face Marion C. Early Panthers (18-9). According to the seeding, this should have been an even matchup, as it was the 2-3 battle, with the winner moving on for a chance at a district title.

The first quarter did see a tightly contested open, as the Tigers had a 16-11 advantage at the conclusion of the first period.

The Tigers were able to start rolling in the 2nd quarter and took a 36-18 lead into the half.

The Tigers continued to roar in the second half, on their way to a 69-44 victory, bringing the Panthers season to an end.

The Tigers saw 4 different players record double-digit point totals, led by Brayden Chandler with 20, followed by Black with 15, and Becker and Coonce both with 14.

This Rich Hill team is a solid ball club that have been putting together an impressive season, and now have tallied a 10 game win streak. They will move on to take on the 1 seed, Weaubleau, in the District Championship game. Weaubleau boasts a 25-2 record and ranked #4 in the state in class 2.

The championship matchup will take place February 24, at 6pm.
