Butler Senior Dylan Davison committed to playing football at Benedictine College in Atchison KS.

Davidson has been a standout quarterback for the Butler Bears during his High School career. Davidson was selected to the Tailgate Team, as well being named an All-District Quarterback this year. Dylan led the Bears to a 9-2 record this year, and an 8-3 record last year.

Davidson told Tailgate TV that he will be playing a hybrid defensive position at Benedictine. He said he will be playing a mix between “outside linebacker and safety.”

If you had a chance to watch #2 this year, you know that there is no doubt that Davidson is a competitor, he told Tailgate TV that he is most excited to be able to “compete with people that were the best at there high school”. He has put in the work and time to excel at his craft and says that he is pumped to be on a team where everyone is just as dedicated, telling Tailgate TV that he is excited to “be on a team were everyone wants to be there and not have commitment issues.”

Davidson has enjoyed his time as a Bear. When asked what his favorite memory from the field at Butler was, Davidson says, “my sophomore year when I had to play quarterback due to injury and I had less than a week to practice, it was my first ever varsity game and I barley came off the field the whole game and we ended up winning it.”

Dylan went on to say that he feels this year really prepared him for play at the next level because he was learning to understand where everyone is supposed to be on every play.

Davidson said that if he could give some advice to any underclassmen wanting to follow in his footsteps, he would tell them, “it isn’t going to be easy because you are going to have to work a lot harder than 95% of the people around, possibly more than that, and a lot of the time it will go unrecognized and that’s okay because at the end of the day when you achieve your dream of playing at the next level then all the extra work and extra time is worth it. So stay hungry and never stop working”

While we will miss seeing #2 in a Butler uniform next season, we wish him the best of luck at the next level!
